Laurence Glasscock
Account Director, spreadsheet superstar
Backstory:
Laurence was born in Nashville, TN but moved to Texas as quickly as she could. After growing up in Dallas, she moved to California to study advertising and art history at Pepperdine University. Following graduation, she worked in publicity and corporate communications at FOX Broadcasting Company.
Five years into her tenure at FOX, she decided she missed queso too much and moved back to Texas to work for the Super Bowl, and after that, she discovered her love for advertising. While at The Richards Group, she gained experience in automotive, restaurants, health care, online retailers, and grocery while launching numerous brand campaigns. Laurence is known for bringing a positive outlook to any situation. She now manages the Central Market account at Plot Twist.
Professional Not-So-Humble Brags:
She was the first-ever recipient of FOX’s “Rising Star” award, which came with a $5,000 cash prize. She used it to take her sister to Australia. A g’day, indeed. She also considers herself an Excel Superstar, which isn’t a real thing but if it was she would be one. Laurence founded the women’s resource group at The Richards Group and continues to lead our DEI initiatives at Plot Twist. Laurence is known for her love of detailed, thorough recaps after meetings. You could say she’s REALLY into recap emails.
Interesting Cocktail Party Tidbits:
Born on her grandfather Larry’s birthday. Hence, the name Laurence. Lifelong LA Dodgers fan First concert: ZZ Top in 2nd grade (her, not them. They were much older) Favorite hobby: ceramics. Pre-covid, she went on a mission trip to Haiti each summer.
Best plot twist (so far):
“Living in Los Angeles for 9 years. I never thought I’d live away from Texas for so long. If I hadn’t move to California for college, I might never have lived in Los Angeles. Those 9 years opened my eyes to new experiences and set me up for a unique success that I never would have had if I’d stayed in Dallas.”
