Creative Director/Writer, committed oenophile

Backstory:

Wendy has been a writer her entire life. She started writing short stories when she was 7, with her dog Sally as the fearless heroine. In her tween years, she wrote plays with her older sister as the antagonist (you write what you know, right?). She continued writing for her high-school paper, with a weekly satirical poetry column that became a hit with students, less so with teachers. She started at UT- Austin as a Journalism major, until a professor declared that Journalism was a dying industry full of starving writers with drinking problems. So Wendy switched to Advertising, which seemed slightly more promising. After college she continued honing her craft at McGarrah/Jessee, Leo Burnett, and The Richards Group, working on clients like Frost Bank, Schlotzsky’s, Ballet Austin, Boys & Girls Club, Comcast, Hyundai, Zales, AMC, and Motel 6, to name a few. She continues to do what she loves with clients she adores at Plot Twist. She also continues to be relieved she switched majors.

Professional Not-So-Humble Brags:

Wendy’s work has been featured in CA, London International, The One Show, Addy’s, and Radio Mercury Awards.

Interesting Cocktail Party Tidbits:

Wendy is a gambler and has been to Vegas over 30 times. Craps and Texas Hold ‘Em are her favorite games, but she also loves Blackjack, Roulette, and sports betting. She once won $3000 while brunching at a Vegas buffet playing Keno. Don’t play cards against Wendy.

Best plot twist (so far):

“All of it. This will never get boring.”
